Service Description

Trans abdominal or trans dermal ultrasound scans to assess the carotid arteries in the neck, the arteries to the kidneys or abdomen to look for signs of artery disease like plaque formation, stenosis, and blockages. Doppler is a special ultrasound technique that evaluates the speed and volume of blood as it flows through a blood vessel. Aorta (includes kidneys) Leg DVT Arm DVT Carotid Doppler Renal Artery Doppler • • • • • • Fasting required for renal artery doppler. No special preparation for all other vascular scans. A referral is required for all scans.
